Sketchbooking : Becca Stadtlander

Sketchbooking : Becca Stadtlander

I’m not much of a sketchbooker and I never have been. To begin with, I’m usually too precious with the initial few of the untouched pages and once passed that, I sort of give up and my sketchbook becomes a mess. And by mess, I don’t mind a nice, somewhat coherent mess that atleast looks nice. I mean a mess mess. I would be love to be a sketchbook-keeper however, especially after trawling sites like Book by it’s Cover.

Most recently, a sketchbook by Becca Stadtlander, an artist new to me, was posted and I have to say, if there was ever inspiration to keep a sketchbook for me, this is it. You can see more of her sketchbook here.

Infact, I may make it my mission this summer to carry an a5 sketchbook with me wherever I go and draw in it as much as possible. How much, I don’t know, old habits are hard to break, but it’s worth a try.
