Back from Belgium

Back from Belgium

I’m back from Belgium and I have to say, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the country as a whole. The people, the architecture, all of it. I felt very much at home in Belgium, especially in Bruges. It was just so comforting, almost-familiar and welcoming.

Amongst all of the tourist tat, I could see little bits of Belgian design shining through and I’m definitely going to spend some time researching more Belgian designers and illustrators which I shall post here, naturally. Of course, Belgium is a growing market in fashion and I’ll also be spending some time on this aspect of it as well.

Unfortunately, as I was enjoying myself so much, I didn’t take as many photographs as I had hoped, though I did take some. As with the Rome photographs (not all of which have been shared yet), I’ll be posting them over the next few weeks.

Now that I’m back, I now have a possible third trip for this academic year planned. A friend of mine from Canada will be in Spain in March and I am hoping to fly over and join her for a weekend, though we shall see if this plan comes to fruition due to financial strains.
